Job Description
As a Safety Engineer, you will ensure that the product is developed and designed according to relevant standards from the industry (E.g.: ARP4761). At the different stages of the product lifecycle, you will carry out the following tasks & responsibilities:
- Manage and perform safety assessments (E.g.: Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Common Cause Analysis (CCA), Fault-Tree Analysis (FTA), Preliminary System Safety Assessment (PSSA), System Safety Assessment (SSA), FMEA (Failure Modes and Effect Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Derive and define safety objectives for aircraft, systems, and/or component functions (E.g.: Development Assurance Level (DAL))
- Derive and define safety objectives for systems functions incl. subsystems and components
- Collaborate with Engineering departments to ensure the integration of the components / systems are also considered within the safety objectives
- Analyze problem reports with respect to impact on safety
Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in engineering or related discipline
- More than 3 years of professional experience as Safety Engineer
- Knowledge of the product development, safety analysis and safety processes - ARP4754 and ARP4761
- Familiar with safety methods, processes and tools
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
