IT Infrastructure Senior Engineer

 

An exciting new key role has opened up with our IT Infrastructure team for an individual with strong and proven technical skills to join as an IT Infrastructure Senior Engineer.

The selected candidate will form part of a skilled team of international professionals with considerable experience in IT infrastructure powering a comprehensive suite of iGaming products and services. The main scope of the role is to be responsible for improving and designing a healthy infrastructure of networks, servers, and services whilst helping with rollouts for business products, and services.

Tasks

Responsibilities

• Be part of maintaining and improving our Platform as a Service (PaaS) built with OpenStack and Kubernetes.
• Develop and deploy performance-enhancing measures throughout the network.
• Ensure the integrity and security of data in accordance with best practices and business requirements for regulatory, security, and privacy compliance.
• Responsible for maintenance and availability of data centers, networks, servers, and services.d Kubernetes.
• Provide, as part of a Rota, on-call production support for IT Operations (with the related appropriate compensation).
• Responsible for maintenance and availability of data centers, network, servers, and services.

Requirements

• Firewalls/Routers configuration (Juniper SRX, Check Point Maestro, Cisco ASR) and Network infrastructure maintenance and configuration (Juniper QFX, MC-LAG, 100GbE, HA, SmartFabric, IPv6) experience.
• Understand dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP) and with Load balancers configuration preferable with F5 appliances.
• Deployment experience with Rancher/OpenShift Kubernetes clusters as PaaS.
• Worked with different cloud platforms and payloads (GCP, AWS, Azure) and with Microsoft Windows Server (DC, Failover clusters, MPIO).
• Storage area networks with FC (Brocade, ISL) and storage systems (StorageCenter, PowerStore)
• Knowledge in Powershell, Bash, Ansible, Gitlab or Github, automating, in Linux systems, Redhat/CentOS, Oracle and Debian (RAC, Cloud- init, multipath).
• Able to implement backup strategies and policies (Commvault, DataDomain, Replication).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, IBM/Lenovo) and with different hypervisors (OpenStack, OpenShift, VMware, Proxmox).
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code concepts as well as scripting and automation.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, be able to prioritise and manage open tasks and good written and excellent communication skills with proven fluency in English.
