What you can expect

In this position you are responsible for ensuring that the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) related services and procedures are implemented, maintained and properly executed globally at the selected sites. You act as a technical consultant to the plants and cross functional departments on MES topics. This includes a good understanding of production processes, IT infrastructure as well as a close collaboration with other departments and customers. Your main tasks will include:


  • Project management
    of MES related processes implementations, solutions and functions
  • Gather and analyse business requirements, propose technical concepts and validate technical feasibility
  • Coordinate and implement the MES template functions in the plants
  • Do process analysis and optimization in coordination with the departments
  • Be the interface between production (key user/process owner), automation technology, IT and external partners
  • Participate in functional and integration tests / GoLive preparations of MES services, processes, and functions
  • Support training activities with functional KeyUsers
  • After ramp-up you coordinate and support together with the current MES provider
  • Support and enhance the MES template functions in a continuous improvement process
  • Define and manage authorizations concept


What you bring along

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Development or similar
  • Minimum 5 years experience in related field (preferably in Automotive Manufacturing industry)
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript is a plus
  • Good understanding of IT Infrastructure (Server, Network)
  • Experience with MES standards and templates preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, problem solving & interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to business travel globally (30%)

In addition, commitment and qualification are valued by us: we pay more than we have to. For this position you get a salary starting from € 50.000 gross per year (basis: 38.5 hours per week). Overpayment is possible according to your experience and educational background. In addition, if you are not living in the country you are applying for, we offer you a relocation allowance, support with your visa, work permit, accommodation, language courses, and a dedicated buddy program.
