Full-time

Are you looking for an opportunity to put your organizational and technical skills to the test?
Do you want to be part of a dynamic and creative-thinking lab?
Here is your chance to contribute to science that makes a difference!

To strengthen our excellent research team, we are looking for a highly organized person with laboratory experience in mouse work, hematology and flow cytometry. In this responsible role, you will participate on multiple projects in the lab and will perform in vivo experiments in the mouse, in the context of genome editing, hematopoiesis and leukemia. You will be part of a multidisciplinary competence center for pediatric cancer research and you will have a direct influence on the development of new cancer therapies.

The Seruggia group (www.seruggialab.com) is interested in gene regulation in the context of pediatric cancer, and focuses on the study of non-coding regulatory sequences (enhancers) as well as protein complexes involved in the control of gene expression. We use genome editing (CRISPR screenings, CRISPRi/a, dense mutagenesis), chromatin profiling (ChIP-seq, CUT and RUN, ATAC-seq), proteomics, mouse models and computational approaches to identify and characterize mechanisms of leukemia development. Our research is funded by a Starting Grant from the ERC and investigates the link between sequence variation at non-coding regions and leukemia development.

Relevant publications: Seruggia et al. Molecular Cell 2019; Sher, Hossain, Seruggia et al. Nature Genetics 2019; Seruggia et al. Scientific Reports 2020; Debruyne et al. Nature 2019; Seruggia et al Nucleic Acids Research 2015.
