We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager to join our team at VPA (Austria). As the HR Manager, you will be fully accountable for all HR topics in Vetropack Austria business and being resposbile for HR team at our 3 different business locations.
In this strategic role, you will manage the HR department and its functions, ensuring they are aligned with the company's policies and goals. Collaborating closely with the Managing Director (Business Unit Manager), you will play a crucial role in people development and fostering integration within the group.
As a key strategic partner in the business, you will guide and advise the Management team on key HR topics, ensuring a strong alignment between HR and the business in all aspects. Your expertise will be vital in advising on the handling of serious employee relation matters and sensitive personnel cases, leveraging your professional skills to achieve successful outcomes.
As part of the Group HR Leadership team, you will adopt and implement the group HR standards. Additionally, you will participate in Group Projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of the overall HR team. You will also be responsible for the training budget for the HR department.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record in HR management, preferably in a multinational company. You should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. A deep understanding of HR best practices, as well as experience in recruitment, talent management, and learning and development, will be essential.

Key responsibilities
Recruitment: To recruit and ensure all the recruitments are done according to a plan, existing standards, conducted in a professional manner and done in efficient way within the given budget. To develop staff and to take responsibility for on-the-job and off-the-job development of our team. To negotiate and to organize partnerships with external search agencies for certain recruitments
Talent development: To take the responsibility for implementation of the planned development activities, in accordance with corporate HR. To report on the progress and participate actively in improvement of activities.
Learning: To take the responsibility for implementation of the planned development activities, in accordance with corporate HR. To report on the progress and participate actively in improvement of activities
Rewards: To advise the Business on rewards strategies for all staff covering salaries, bonus and other benefits, in alignment with group policies and approach
Performance Management: To work with the HR Managers to ensure that the appraisal process is aligned with the strategic needs and policies . To ensure that the appraisal process is completed across all departments and work with the HR Managers to review and report to the Management on issues, lessons and changes arising from each annual round of appraisals. To ensure that all agreed action from appraisals which are within the remit of HR are completed in a timely way, particularly learning and development objectives
Employee Relations: To give guidance and to lead with example in handling employee relations issues. To manage all sensitive employee relations issues with discretion and a sense for urgency. To have a thorough understanding of labour law. Provide advice, guidance and leadership to line managers on people management issues. To deal with violations invoking disciplinary actions when required
Relations to work council: To manage the ongoing relationship with works councils.
To negotiate and administrate works council agreements / employment agreements. To support the Managing Director/Business Unit Manger in preparation and execution of collective agreement negotiations
The Successful Candidate
Proven experience in HR management, preferably within a multinational company.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Deep understanding of HR best practices and current industry trends.
Experience in recruitment, talent management, and learning and development.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and legal compliance requirements.
Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
Honours degree in social area or similar
10+ years of experience in HR
3+ years working in similar role in manufacturing industry
English level C1 minimum in spoken and written language
German level C2 in spoken and written language
Travel requirement up to 40%
